When words matter, I can help. From crafting a magazine article to providing content for websites; from persuading people using the written word to informing and entertaining a readership; I write what people read.
I currently publish two magazines: West Coast Veterinarian and RMT Matters. My work has appeared in Modern Dog, BC Business, Business in Vancouver, Enterprise, BC Home, Just for Canadian Doctors, and Meeting Places. My radio pieces have been broadcast on CBC Radio and my web work appears on BCLiving.ca. I also have a story in a Grade 6 textbook and in an iPad app. I write many corporate web sites. My writing is persuasive, emotional, evocative, compelling and, at times, funny. The same has been said about me.
I have wide-ranging board experience and sit on quasi-judicial tribunals hearing matters, evaluating evidence, and making and writing decisions. My event management experience is extensive. I was the returning officer for Coquitlam Port Coquitlam Port Moody for four federal elections and currently run elections for other entities. I’ve organized the Women’s Campaign School twice and the Western Magazine Awards seven times. Despite the foregoing, I have both a sense of humour and a bit of spare time.
I’m the Vice Chair of the BC Farm Industry Review Board and a past appointee to the Hospital Appeal Board, the Employment and Assistance Appeal Board, and the then-BC Veterinary Medical Association.
I’m thrilled to now be living in the Whonnock area of Maple Ridge, supporting the local community and especially the vibrant visual arts scene.
