ACE Productions | Damon Calderwood, Gordon Roberts, actors
One of the most widely produced plays in Canadian theatre, this two-man musical play dramatizes the life of Canadian World War I fighter pilot, Billy Bishop. One actor plays the part of Bishop in word and song, although he is also called upon to dramatize 17 other parts, and the other provides all the accompaniment on the piano and also sings.
The play has been performed in over 150 independent productions since it debuted more than 30 years ago, winning the Los Angeles Drama Critics' Award, the Floyd S. Chalmers Canadian Play Award, and the Governor General's Award for English Drama.
“Missing this show is a mistake for anyone who is even a casual fan of theatre. Not only does the show make for an entertaining piece of theatre, but it also shines a light on one of Canada’s great military heroes. - Fort McMurray Today
Should these performances sell out or seats become limited, we are considering adding a fourth show, a matinee on Saturday, November 7 at 2:00pm. If you would like to be added to a wait list for this performance, please email the show, performance time, and your name and contact information to firstname.lastname@example.org.
